Job: Gas / Steam Turbine Mechanical Technician

KMM is hiring turbine mechanical technicians for power plant outages in Saudi Arabia. Work is shutdown-based: combustion inspections, hot gas path inspections and major inspections on large gas and steam turbines.

What you will do

• Disassembly and reassembly of gas and steam turbines during planned outages - combustion liners, transition pieces, fuel nozzles, hot gas path parts, casings, diaphragms and rotors
• Hydraulic bolting with ITH and HYTORC, stud tensioning, and bolt removal by resistance or flame heating
• Clearance and alignment work - tip, radial and axial clearances, lead wire, bridge gauges, dial indicators, shaft and coupling alignment, as-found and as-left recording
• Precision measurement with verniers, micrometers and feeler gauges
• Rigging and heavy lift support under a lifting plan

What we are looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years on gas or steam turbines
• Experience with an OEM or OEM service contractor - GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Dresser-Rand, Elliott, MAN Turbo, Caterpillar, Rolls-Royce, Alstom, Ansaldo, Doosan or similar
• At least one documented combustion, hot gas path or major inspection
• Experience on large frame machines (Frame 6/7/9, SGT, SST, V94, M701 or equivalent)

Please note

This role is turbine outage work. Applications from plant operations, control room, reliability engineering and general plant maintenance backgrounds are not suitable for this position.

Full-time, on-site, project-based at power generation facilities across the Kingdom. Mobilisation per outage schedule. Accommodation, transport and insurance provided.
