About The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing and strengthening PKI operations while ensuring security, operational excellence, and audit readiness across a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
PKI Operations Management
- Lead and oversee day-to-day operations of the PKI environment.
- Manage and support Certificate Authority (CA) services and related trust infrastructure components.
- Oversee certificate lifecycle activities including issuance, renewal, suspension, revocation, and validation services.
- Ensure operations follow approved procedures, governance standards, and certificate policies.
- Maintain operational logs and evidence for sensitive activities.
HSM & Key Management
- Coordinate Hardware Security Module (HSM) operations and secure key management activities.
- Support key ceremonies and controlled cryptographic processes.
- Strengthen internal ownership and operational maturity of PKI capabilities.
Operational Governance & Documentation
- Maintain and continuously improve PKI operational procedures, runbooks, and documentation.
- Contribute to policy and process alignment across PKI operations.
- Ensure audit evidence remains complete, organized, and accessible.
Change, Incident & Risk Management
- Lead operational execution of PKI-related changes and enhancements.
- Ensure high-impact changes are properly reviewed, tested, approved, and documented.
- Coordinate incident response activities and manage risk escalation processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with infrastructure, DevSecOps, security, compliance, and operational stakeholders.
- Support backup, monitoring, resilience, security hardening, and disaster recovery initiatives.
- Coordinate with external technology partners, vendors, and auditors when required.

Requirements
- Proven experience managing PKI / Certificate Authority (CA) operations.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of X.509 certificates, certificate lifecycle management, HSMs, secure key handling, and highly available PKI environments.
- Experience with access control, segregation of duties, incident response, backup, disaster recovery, logging, and operational governance.
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, WebTrust, ETSI, or equivalent regulated environments.
- Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC markets is preferred.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in security, governance, PKI, cloud, or infrastructure are considered a strong advantage.
