Role Description

The Senior Cybersecurity Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, responsible for leading and enhancing SIDB’s security posture across platforms, infrastructure, and operations. This role oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity controls, including security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Daily responsibilities include monitoring security events, managing incident response, overseeing vulnerability assessments, and coordinating remediation efforts with technology teams. The Senior Cybersecurity Officer will collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to embed security by design in applications, networks, and data flows, and will conduct regular risk assessments and security awareness activities. The role also involves preparing security reports for management, supporting audits, and ensuring continuous improvement of the organization’s security frameworks and tools.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong expertise in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including security governance, policies, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Candidates should possess skills in Network Security, covering firewall management, secure network architecture, intrusion detection/prevention, and encryption technologies.
• Candidates should possess skills in Application Security, including secure software development practices, code review, and protection of web and mobile applications.
• Candidates should possess experience in Vulnerability Assessment, including scanning, analysis, prioritization, and coordination of remediation activities.
• Relevant experience of at least 5 years in financial services or fintech environments, preferably under SAMA or similar regulatory bodies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to communicate security risks and solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and to lead security initiatives in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
