Role Description The Wound Care Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah, responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients with acute and chronic wounds. The role involves conducting comprehensive wound assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and applying appropriate wound care techniques and dressings. Daily tasks include monitoring wound healing progress, documenting care in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. The Wound Care Nurse also provides patient and family education on wound management, hygiene, and prevention of complications, including ostomy care when needed. Additional responsibilities may include participating in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to clinical teaching activities, and adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Clinical nursing skills in wound care and general nursing practice, with the ability to perform comprehensive assessments and treatment interventions.
• Specialized expertise in wound care management, including knowledge of dressing types, wound healing processes, and infection control practices.
• Competence in ostomy care, including assessment, management, patient education, and follow-up support for individuals with ostomies.
• Solid grounding in medicine and nursing principles, including understanding of comorbid conditions that impact wound healing.
• Valid nursing license/registration and completion of an accredited nursing program (Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent preferred).
• Previous experience in wound care, surgical, or medical-surgical nursing settings is highly beneficial.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous professional development, and adherence to ethical and cultural standards of care.
