Multimodal AI & Digital Art Specialist - AI, Visual Media & Creative Technologies

ABOUT THE JOB
De Art is an independent, internet-based visual arts media platform dedicated to exploring art, artists, and the evolving relationship between culture and technology.

We are looking for a creative and technology-oriented Multimodal AI & Digital Art Specialist to explore how artificial intelligence can combine different forms of media to create new artistic and interactive experiences.

The role focuses on multimodal AI systems that work with text, images, audio, and video. The successful candidate will investigate emerging models, experiment with creative workflows, and develop ideas and prototypes that connect visual arts with the next generation of AI technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research emerging multimodal AI models and their applications in visual arts and digital creativity.
- Experiment with AI systems that combine text, images, audio, and video.
- Explore workflows involving text-to-image, image-to-video, text-to-video, and AI-assisted audio-visual production.
- Evaluate the creative capabilities and limitations of multimodal AI platforms.
- Develop experimental concepts that combine visual storytelling with AI-generated media.
- Explore how AI can interpret images, understand visual context, and generate new creative content.
- Investigate the integration of multimodal AI with interactive websites and digital art experiences.
- Prepare demonstrations, creative experiments, and technical research summaries.
- Identify artists and projects exploring multimodal AI and new forms of digital expression.
- Monitor developments in foundation models, generative media, and AI-powered creative applications.
- Consider authorship, copyright, transparency, and ethical issues in AI-generated content.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong interest in artificial intelligence, digital art, and emerging media technologies.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools for images, audio, or video.
- Understanding of multimodal AI concepts and creative applications.
- Experience experimenting with AI-powered visual or audio-visual workflows.
- Good analytical and research skills.
- Ability to document technical experiments and explain complex concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with tools such as ComfyUI, Stable Diffusion, Runway, or similar platforms is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Python, APIs, or creative coding is a plus.
- Good English communication and writing skills.
- Curiosity, creativity, and the ability to work independently.
