Key Responsibilities

• Review medical records and clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Assign appropriate medical codes in accordance with approved coding standards and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with medical coding standards, healthcare regulations, and organizational policies.
• Identify documentation gaps, inconsistencies, and discrepancies that may impact coding accuracy.
• Apply Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) principles to support accurate and complete clinical documentation.
• Communicate with physicians and clinical teams regarding documentation clarification and clinical queries.
• Ensure accurate and timely coding to support billing, insurance claims, and reimbursement processes.
• Maintain the confidentiality, security, and integrity of patient health information and coding records.
• Participate in coding audits and support quality improvement initiatives related to clinical documentation and coding accuracy.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Saudi National.
• Diploma or higher qualification in Medical Coding, Health Information Management, or a related field.
• Valid SCFHS professional classification and registration.
• Knowledge of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) principles.
• Familiarity with ICD-10-AM, ACHI, and Australian Coding Standards (ACS).
• Strong knowledge of medical coding guidelines, healthcare documentation requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
