JOB TITLE
AI Visual Discovery Specialist - Computer Vision & Digital Art

ABOUT THE JOB
De Art is looking for an AI Visual Discovery Specialist interested in exploring how artificial intelligence and computer vision can transform the discovery, organization, and exploration of visual arts.

The role focuses on developing and researching AI-powered methods for visual search, artwork recognition, image similarity, and intelligent access to digital art collections.

The ideal candidate combines technical curiosity with an interest in visual culture and emerging technologies that make art more accessible and discoverable.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Explore AI-powered visual search applications for digital art and cultural content.
- Investigate computer vision techniques for artwork recognition and image similarity.
- Develop concepts and prototypes for intelligent art discovery tools.
- Experiment with image embeddings, visual classification, and multimodal AI.
- Explore methods for identifying visual styles, motifs, and similarities between artworks.
- Research AI technologies for organizing and navigating digital art collections.
- Evaluate the accuracy, usability, and limitations of visual discovery systems.
- Collaborate with artists, researchers, and the De Art editorial team.
- Document technical experiments, workflows, and research findings.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Background or practical experience in artificial intelligence, computer vision, computer science, or digital media.
- Familiarity with Python and AI or image-processing tools.
- Understanding of image recognition, visual search, or machine learning concepts.
- Interest in visual arts, art history, or digital culture.
- Familiarity with image embeddings, vision-language models, or vector search is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with AI prototypes, image collections, or digital art projects is desirable.
- A portfolio or examples of relevant technical work are welcome.
