Role Description The Junior Accountant will support the finance team with daily accounting operations in a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Responsibilities include recording and posting journal entries, maintaining general ledger accounts, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable processing. The role involves reconciling bank statements, monitoring petty cash and expenses, and helping prepare basic financial reports and summaries. The Junior Accountant will assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, help ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards, and support audits by organizing documentation and responding to information requests. Collaboration with other departments to gather financial data and maintain accurate, up-to-date records is an important part of this position.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess foundational accounting and bookkeeping skills, including familiarity with journal entries, ledgers, and bank reconciliations.
• Candidates should possess skills in using accounting software, spreadsheets, and basic MS Office applications for data entry, reporting, and documentation.
• Candidates should possess strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with colleagues and respond promptly to information requests.
• Candidates should possess good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain orderly financial files.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance.
• Holding an accounting membership.
• Familiarity with basic Saudi financial regulations and local tax or compliance requirements is an advantage.
• Prior internship or entry-level experience in accounting or finance within manufacturing, furniture, or similar industries is beneficial.
