About the Role

JIGPC is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Maintenance team. This role is responsible for providing advanced technical expertise to improve the reliability, performance, and availability of critical mechanical assets across a world-class gasification and power generation facility. The successful candidate will lead troubleshooting efforts, drive reliability improvements, support major maintenance projects and turnarounds, and contribute to operational excellence across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of mechanical systems across Gasification, Power Block, Utilities, and Air Separation Unit (ASU) facilities.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of mechanical failures and recommend effective corrective actions.
• Plan and execute major maintenance projects, equipment overhauls, upgrades, and turnaround activities.
• Analyze equipment performance data and identify improvement opportunities using reliability best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Support the adoption of emerging technologies such as predictive maintenance solutions, digital tools, and advanced diagnostics.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance engineering within power generation, gasification, petrochemical, refinery, oil & gas, or similar heavy industrial environments.
• Proven experience supporting major maintenance projects and turnaround activities.

Preferred

• Master's Degree in Engineering Management or Maintenance Engineering.
• CMRP, CRL, PMP, OSHA, or NEBOSH certifications.
