Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support the company's accounting operations by managing Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and financial closing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, experience with month-end and year-end closing processes, and the ability to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Description
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) activities, including invoice verification, payment processing, and vendor reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger (GL).
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Execute month-end and year-end financial closing activities, including accruals, adjustments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable financial reporting standards.
- Support internal and external audit requirements by providing the necessary financial documentation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial transactions and reporting.
- Contribute to process improvements and the effective use of ERP accounting systems
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and financial closing processes (Month-End and Year-End Closing).
- Experience in journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Professional certifications such as SOCPA, CPA, CMA, or ACCA are preferred.
