We are seeking an experienced Clearance & Customs Specialist to join our Supply Chain Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing import and export customs clearance operations, ensuring compliance with Saudi Customs regulations, and managing customs duty exemptions, duty refund programs, and industrial subsidy initiatives. This role requires close coordination with customs brokers, government authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee import activities for spare parts, equipment, and raw materials, including invoice review and HS Code classification.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, Saudi Customs, SFDA, and other regulatory authorities to ensure timely shipment clearance and full compliance with applicable regulations.
- Monitor inbound shipments and ensure timely delivery to the warehouse.
- Review and validate customs clearance invoices before submission to the Finance Department.
- Manage export operations, including preparation of export documentation, customs declarations, permits, and shipment follow-up.
- Issue export-related certificates and prepare export reports.
- Manage customs duty exemption applications, including data preparation, submission, and follow-up with relevant authorities.
- Handle customs duty refund claims by preparing accurate documentation, submitting applications, and following up on reimbursements.
- Support industrial funding and subsidy programs by preparing required documentation and coordinating with banks, government entities, and legal advisors.
- Maintain compliance with customs regulations, trade policies, and internal procedures while identifying opportunities to improve customs processes and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse, Finance, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in customs clearance, import/export operations, or trade compliance within a supply chain environment.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Customs regulations, HS Code classification, and import/export documentation.
- Experience working with Saudi Customs, SFDA, customs brokers, and other government authorities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
