The Financial Reporting Manager is accountable for managing the planning and coordination of the preparation and distribution of various financial reports and disclosures, and ensuring compliance to applicable regulations, professional standards and Company policies.
Job Responsibilities
- Application of International Financial Reporting Standards
- Act as an in-house expert on the application of various applicable accounting and reporting standards.
- Work in close collaboration with various departments to manage and minimize the potential negative impacts of certain standards through an effective structure and re-structure of transactions.
- Perform fair valuation exercises where applicable and required by standards.
- Accountable for facilitate the entire process of generating important reports and earnings statements, particularly for statutory filings where required.
- Assist in reviewing financial information analysis of detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and subsequently prepare balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Review variety of periodic and spot financial reports.
- Review calculations, data and checks for incorrect or incomplete documents to ensure the accuracy of reports produced.
- Conduct financial studies and analyses as requested by management including identifying and reporting any apparent shortcomings, discrepancies or inefficiencies in operational routine, and recommending corrective measures.
- Ensure accurate consolidation and reporting of financial statements.
- Manage and resolve all complex accounting and audit related matters.
- Prepare quarterly and year-end financial reports including income, balance sheet and cash flow statements and disclosures.
Job Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a focus on Finance.
- Must hold at least one professional qualification: ACCA, CA, or CPA.
- Minimum 8 years of experience, including at least 4 years with one of the Big 4 audit firms.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English
