About the job:

Kent is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to join our growing engineering Team within the Oil & Gas market in Jubail, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This is a pivotal opportunity to help shape a new and expanding team, strengthen our technical capability, and enhance Kent’s presence and reputation across the sector.

Details / responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Kent KMS, Saudi Aramco Environmental Standards and project-specific environmental requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and environmental audits.
• Monitor air quality, noise levels, soil condition, and water management practices.
• Identify environmental risks and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Develop and implement waste management plans in line with project requirements.
• Ensure proper segregation, storage, transportation, and disposal of waste.
• Coordinate with approved waste disposal contractors.
• Track and maintain waste manifests and records.
• Prepare and maintain environmental reports, logs, and records.
• Submit reports to management and Saudi Aramco representatives as required.
• Conduct environmental awareness sessions and toolbox talks.
• Promote environmental best practices among site personnel.
• Ensure workers understand environmental hazards and mitigation measures.
• Maintain environmental permits, approvals, and compliance documentation.
• Investigate environmental incidents (e.g., spills, contamination).
• Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure proper emergency response measures are in place.
• Liaise with Saudi Aramco environmental inspectors and client representatives.
• Coordinate with HSE teams, construction teams, and subcontractors.
• Support project management in achieving environmental KPIs.
• Promote resource conservation (water, energy).
• Support implementation of environmentally friendly construction practices.
• Monitor compliance with sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management (construction and/or oil & gas preferred).
• Mandatory Saudi Aramco approval as an Environmental Coordinator.
• ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification.
• Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor qualification.
• Experience working on Saudi Aramco projects.
• Knowledge of local environmental regulations in Saudi Arabia.
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification (environmental or HSE-related) is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Aramco environmental standards and regulations.
• Experience in environmental audits and inspections.
• Good reporting and documentation skills.
• Ability to identify environmental risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.
