Role Description The Gynecologist Consultant will provide comprehensive gynecological and obstetric care, including outpatient consultations, inpatient care, and emergency services. Daily responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing procedures and surgeries as indicated, and developing individualized treatment plans. The consultant will counsel patients on reproductive health, family planning, prenatal and postnatal care, and manage both routine and complex gynecological conditions. Additional tasks include maintaining accurate medical records, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, participating in clinical meetings, and adhering to clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah, requiring regular presence in the clinic and hospitals as needed.
Qualifications
- Recognized medical degree and completion of residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology; board certification or equivalent in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Valid license to practice medicine in Saudi Arabia or eligibility to obtain licensure according to local regulations.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in gynecological and obstetric care, including routine and high-risk pregnancy management, gynecologic surgery, and reproductive health.
- Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex cases and emergencies safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication and counseling skills, with a patient-centered approach and the ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, supervise junior medical staff when required, and contribute to clinical quality improvement initiatives.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous professional development, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems; fluency in English required, and knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
