Job Purpose
Responsible for providing technical engineering support for aircraft systems and avionics to ensure continued airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and operational safety. Supports troubleshooting, defect assessment, reliability investigations, and compliance management of Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins, while coordinating with OEMs, Part-21 design organizations, and contracted maintenance providers. audits and aircraft induction activities, and ensures adherence to safety, quality, and Air Arabia DMM GMM policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities
- Provide technical engineering support for aircraft systems and avionics, including troubleshooting guidance, technical dispositions, defect evaluation, and contribution to reliability investigations and corrective action definition.
- Review and assess Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and technical publications, supporting compliance planning, tracking, and regulatory adherence.
- Coordinate with OEMs, Part-21 design organizations, and contracted AMO/MROs on repairs, modifications, engineering orders, and systems/avionics technical matters.
- Support aircraft induction activities by reviewing systems and avionics configuration, compliance status, and technical documentation.
- Maintain accurate and traceable engineering records, approvals, and compliance documentation, and support audits and regulatory queries including preparation of evidence and closure of findings.
- Promote adherence to safety, quality, and human factors practices affecting continued airworthiness, participate in contracted maintenance provider oversight and performance monitoring activities, and fulfill all applicable Air Arabia DMM GMM policies and procedures.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- Effective communication with MCC and maintenance teams during time-critical operational events.
- Strong documentation skills and ability to compile compliance evidence for audits.
- Familiarity with maintenance information systems and engineering tracking tools.
- Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
- Safety mindset and human factors awareness.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft avionics and systems troubleshooting and operational impacts.
- Working knowledge of airworthiness requirements (ADs, SBs, compliance tracking) and engineering documentation control.
- Ability to interpret OEM manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical data to support decisions.
- Analytical skills to identify trends and contribute to reliability improvements.
- Understanding of modification/repair approval processes (Part-21 interface) as applicable.
Work Experience
- Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in airline/MRO engineering support for systems/avionics (preferably A320 family), with exposure to AD/SB management, troubleshooting, and continued airworthiness processes.
