Job Summary:**
CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd is seeking an experienced and skilled Back End LSM Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all machinery and equipment within the back end of our can manufacturing process, specifically focusing on Lid and Shell Making (LSM) lines, to ensure optimal operational efficiency and product quality.
Job Responsibilities:**
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all Back End LSM machinery, including presses, slitters, lining machines, and associated conveyors, according to established schedules and procedures.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on LSM equipment promptly and effectively to minimize downtime.
- Execute repairs, overhauls, and replacements of worn or defective parts, including bearings, gears, belts, seals, and other mechanical components.
- Conduct equipment adjustments and calibrations to ensure product specifications and quality standards are consistently met.
- Utilize schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to aid in troubleshooting and repair activities.
- Collaborate with production operators and supervisors to identify and resolve recurring equipment problems.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new LSM equipment as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Job Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a maintenance mechanic, with a strong focus on high-speed manufacturing machinery, preferably within the can making or similar packaging industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance and repair of Lid and Shell Making (LSM) equipment is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a comprehensive understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to identifying root causes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Vocational training or a technical diploma in mechanical maintenance, industrial mechanics, or a related field is required.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as operational demands require.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all company safety protocols.
