Job Summary:**
The Cans Deco Mechanic-2 is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimal operation of decoration machinery within the can manufacturing plant, ensuring high-quality printing and efficient production.
Job Responsibilities:**
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on can decoration machinery, including printers, coaters, and ovens, to ensure continuous and efficient operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on decoration equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Execute corrective repairs on machinery, including replacing worn or faulty parts, adjusting settings, and realigning components.
- Conduct equipment inspections to identify potential problems and proactively address them before they impact production.
- Assist in the setup and changeover of decoration lines for different can designs and specifications.
- Monitor equipment performance during production runs, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize machinery performance and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts used.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of new technologies and equipment.
Job Qualifications:**
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a technical diploma or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing environment with a focus on printing or decoration machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, including motors, sensors, and control panels.
- Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various industrial conditions.
