Senior Engineering Manager (Infant Nutrition) | Al Kharj, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The Opportunity

Almarai is seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function within our Infant Nutrition manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal plant reliability, operational efficiency, safety compliance, asset performance, and continuous improvement across a highly automated manufacturing environment.

This role will provide strategic leadership for preventative maintenance, engineering projects, CAPEX planning, budget control, and the development of engineering teams to support world-class infant nutrition production standards. The position requires extensive experience in spray drying technology, packaging systems, and infant formula manufacturing processes while maintaining compliance with quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or institution. Additional engineering qualifications or certifications will be advantageous
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on engineering and maintenance experience within food, dairy, beverage, or infant nutrition manufacturing
• At least 5 years in a similar leadership position within an Infant Nutrition manufacturing environment
• Proven experience with leading infant nutrition manufacturers or equivalent organizations
• Extensive experience in Preventive Maintenance (PPM) implementation, engineering operations, and asset reliability management
• Strong experience in Spray Drying plant operations and maintenance
• Experience maintaining Can Filling, Sachet Filling, Ready-to-Drink (RTD), and Ready-to-Feed (RTF) production equipment
• Hands-on knowledge of packaging systems including:
  • Tetra Pak
  • GEA Can Fillers
  • Rovema packaging equipment
• Knowledge of automated manufacturing equipment, utilities, and engineering control systems
• Experience with engineering project commissioning, plant start-ups, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma methodologies
