We are seeking a fast, accurate, and digitally minded Researcher/Writer (Digital News) to produce timely and engaging coverage of news, current affairs, community developments, and events relevant to audiences in Saudi Arabia. The role requires strong editorial judgment, fact-checking skills, and the ability to turn developing stories into clear, platform-ready content.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor local news, government announcements, community developments, events, and emerging stories.
• Research, verify, and write timely news updates, current-affairs articles, explainers, social media posts, and captions.
• Identify trending topics and recommend relevant editorial angles for Saudi-based audiences.
• Verify facts, dates, statistics, names, quotations, and sources before publication.
• Track developing stories and update published content as new information becomes available.
• Translate complex announcements and public information into clear, audience-friendly content.
• Conduct interviews and gather information from credible sources when required.
• Attend press conferences, launches, community events, and other assignments to provide timely coverage.
• Collaborate with social media, video, design, and editorial teams to produce multimedia news content.
• Maintain the editorial calendar and support daily content planning.
• Monitor content performance and use audience insights to improve future coverage.
• Follow editorial standards, copyright requirements, and cultural sensitivities in Saudi.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Media, Communications, English, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in journalism, news writing, editorial research, or digital publishing.
• Excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills; Arabic is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi’s current affairs, communities, institutions, and major events.
• Proven ability to fact-check information and assess the credibility of sources.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines.
• Comfortable covering live events and responding to breaking or developing news.
• Familiarity with content-management systems, social media publishing, and analytics tools.
• Flexibility to cover important developments outside regular working hours when necessary.
