The Enterprise Communications Architect is responsible for defining, designing, and governing the enterprise communications architecture strategy across data networks, transmission networks, and satellite communication domains. The role provides architectural leadership to ensure the development of scalable, secure, and future-ready communication solutions aligned with enterprise business objectives and technology strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain enterprise communications architecture frameworks, standards, and reference designs.
- Define target-state architectures and strategic roadmaps for enterprise data networks, transmission networks, and satellite communication platforms.
- Provide architecture governance and review solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and adoption of communication technologies and architectural solutions.
- Ensure communication architectures support scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders to align technology solutions with organizational goals.
- Provide technical guidance and architectural recommendations for complex communication initiatives.
- Assess current communication environments and identify opportunities for modernization and optimization.
- Establish design principles, patterns, and governance processes for enterprise communication solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Professional certifications in enterprise architecture, networking, or telecommunications are preferred.
Experience:
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise communications architecture, network architecture, or related technology domains.
- Extensive experience designing and governing enterprise-scale communication networks.
- Strong knowledge of data networks, transmission networks, and satellite communication technologies.
- Proven experience developing architecture standards, reference models, and technology roadmaps.
