Sales Trainee
Location: Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Job Purpose:
The Sales Trainee will support the Sales team in promoting exhibitions, conferences, and events by assisting with exhibitor and sponsor sales activities, lead generation, customer engagement, and account management. This role provides hands-on experience in the full sales cycle and offers an excellent opportunity to build a career in the events and exhibitions industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Sales team in identifying and contacting prospective exhibitors, sponsors, and business partners.
- Support lead generation activities through market research, networking, and CRM databases.
- Assist in preparing sales proposals, quotations, contracts, and other sales documentation.
- Maintain and update customer records in the CRM system to ensure accurate sales tracking.
- Follow up with existing and prospective clients regarding exhibition participation and sponsorship opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support client onboarding and ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Support the preparation of sales presentations, reports, and performance updates.
- Attend exhibitions, conferences, and networking events to assist with sales activities and client engagement.
- Conduct competitor and market research to identify new business opportunities.
- Provide general administrative support to the Sales team and perform other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or a related field.
- Fresh graduate or up to one year of relevant internship or work experience.
- Interest in sales, business development, and customer relationship management.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English and Arabic.
- Confident and professional when interacting with clients.
- Good negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Familiarity with CRM systems is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and results-oriented.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
