Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate must have extensive hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating production workloads on GCP, combined with strong knowledge of infrastructure automation, security, reliability, and cloud cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and operate secure, scalable, and highly available GCP environments supporting mission-critical production workloads.
• Define and manage GCP organizational structures, including organizations, folders, projects, Shared VPCs, IAM policies, and service account lifecycle management.
• Build and maintain resilient multi-region and multi-zone architectures to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Deploy and manage workloads across Compute Engine, GKE (Autopilot and Standard), Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and automate infrastructure provisioning across networking, compute, data, and security layers.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build and infrastructure automation best practices.
• Implement and maintain GCP security services including:
• VPC Service Controls
• Cloud Armor WAF
• Security Command Center
• Customer-Managed Encryption Keys (CMEK)
• Binary Authorization
• Establish governance standards for resource labeling and tagging to enable accurate cost allocation and reporting.
• Lead cloud financial management initiatives and continuously optimize cloud spending.
• Build and maintain billing dashboards and cost-monitoring frameworks.
• Implement budgets, alerts, rightsizing recommendations, and purchasing strategies for CUDs and SUDs.
• Produce monthly cloud cost reports, trend analyses, and optimization roadmaps for engineering and finance stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers on GCP best practices and cloud-native technologies.
• Contribute to internal platform tooling, documentation, and governance standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and finance teams to ensure operational excellence, cost efficiency, and compliance.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of infrastructure, cloud, and DevOps experience.
• Proven hands-on experience designing and operating production environments on Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and cloud security.
• Demonstrated experience implementing FinOps practices and delivering measurable cloud cost reductions.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with AI/ML platforms and Vertex AI is a plus.
