Job Purpose:

The Director of Finance will be responsible for leading the financial management of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, optimizing financial performance, and enabling the company’s long-term growth. This role requires strategic oversight of financial planning, treasury, and governance functions, while providing senior leadership with critical insights to drive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Planning

• Lead the development and execution of financial strategies to support the company’s vision and growth.
• Provide accurate and timely financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board.
• Develop annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and financial models aligned with corporate objectives.

Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and auditing functions to ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant regulations.
• Deliver accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and board presentations.
• Track financial performance against business plans and highlight variances with recommendations.
• Implement robust financial systems, dashboards, and KPIs for improved decision-making.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Ensure strong internal controls, risk management frameworks, and adherence to corporate governance standards.
• Oversee tax planning, compliance, and engagement with external auditors and regulators.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of listing requirements, market regulations, and financial legislation.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Manage liquidity, cash flow, and working capital to support operational and investment requirements.
• Oversee banking, financing arrangements, and capital allocation decisions.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and optimize capital structure.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and mentor the finance team, driving a culture of performance, accountability, and innovation.
• Build organizational financial capabilities to support a fast-growing, listed IT company.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent strongly preferred.
• 12-15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, corporate governance, and listed company financial requirements.
• Experience in financial planning, analysis, treasury, and risk management.
• Background in the IT or technology sector preferred.
