We are seeking an experienced Fiber Optic Technician to install, splice, test, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber-optic networks. The ideal candidate will have practical experience using fiber-splicing equipment and optical testing tools, including Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers (OTDRs).

Key Responsibilities

- Install, route, terminate, and maintain fiber-optic cables.

- Perform fiber fusion splicing in accordance with approved technical standards.

- Conduct OTDR, power-meter, continuity, and performance testing.

- Identify, diagnose, and resolve fiber-optic faults.

- Read and follow network diagrams and technical specifications.

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fiber infrastructure.

- Label cables, connections, and distribution points accurately.

- Maintain testing records, service reports, and technical documentation.

- Follow workplace health, safety, and quality procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Technical diploma or vocational qualification in telecommunications, networking, electronics, or a related field.

- Practical experience in fiber installation, fusion splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.

- Hands-on experience using fusion splicers, OTDRs, and optical power meters.

- Ability to interpret fiber layouts and technical diagrams.

- Structured-cabling experience is an advantage.

- Strong troubleshooting, teamwork, and communication skills.

- Candidates who are available to join immediately are preferred.
