Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the policy landscape affecting AstraZeneca's disease products, anticipating emerging trends and regulatory changes.
- Monitor relevant legislation, regulations, and advocacy activities to ensure compliance and proactively address potential risks to the business unit's interests.
- Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of public policy and advocacy projects that advance therapeutic access, reimbursement, and innovation for the respective therapy area(s).
- Assess and grow internal policy shaping capabilities, with a particular focus on ensuring alignment between national priorities and our therapy area-specific objectives.
- Ensuring KSA policy strategies are aligned with AstraZeneca's global policy framework and contribute to broader corporate affairs strategy and must wins.
- Build and sustain relationships with key external stakeholders, including policymakers, senior government officials, patient advocacy groups, medical societies, NGOs, and industry associations.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between policy priorities and business goals. Act as a subject matter expert for policy-related input into regulatory submissions, market access, and lifecycle management.
- Develop impactful policy position statements, white papers, briefings, and other communication materials for internal and external audiences.
- Track and report key policy and advocacy outcomes, supporting continuous improvement in strategy and execution.

- Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred.
