تُعلن فقيه للرعاية الصحية عن توفر وظيفة معالج تنفسي (Respiratory Therapist) في مكة وجدة بالمملكة العربية السعودية.
نبذة عن الوظيفة
- اختصاص صحي مساعد يعمل تحت إشراف طبي، يُعنى بعلاج وإدارة وتقييم تشخيصي ورعاية المرضى الذين يعانون من مشاكل في الجهاز التنفسي على مدار 24 ساعة وطوال أيام الأسبوع.
المهام والمسؤوليات
- إجراء الإجراءات العلاجية التالية: تقديم العلاج الطبيعي للصدر من تمارين التنفس (باستخدام spirometers التحفيزية أو بدونها)، التدليك الإيقاعي للصدر، تدريب السعال، التصريف الوضعي.
- إدارة الغازات العلاجية ومنها الأكسجين باستخدام معدات مختلفة، وإدارة الهباء الجوي الدوائي أو العادي والترطيب بتقنيات ومعدات متنوعة.
- إجراء الشفط الأنفي الرغامي أو الرغامي القصبي، وتطبيق التهوية الإيجابية المتقطعة (IPPB)، ومراقبة المرضى على جهاز التنفس الاصطناعي.
- المساعدة في الإجراءات العلاجية: الإنعاش القلبي الرئوي، النقل الآمن للمرضى المعتمدين على الأكسجين أو أجهزة التنفس، دعم التهوية بكل أشكال أنظمة الدعم الميكانيكي التوغلي وغير التوغلي.
- استبدال أنبوب فغر الرغامي أو الأنبوب الرغامي في الحالات الطارئة، فطام المريض عن جهاز التنفس، تجارب CPAP لمرضى متلازمة نقص التنفس أثناء النوم (SAHS).
- مساعدة أخصائي أمراض الصدر في تنظير القصبات للمرضى على أجهزة التنفس (لأغراض علاجية)، وإجراءات أنبوب الصدر (بين الضلوع).
- إجراء الإجراءات التشخيصية: قياس التأكسج النبضي عند الراحة وبعد الجهد، قياس التنفس البسيط بجانب السرير ومراقبة ذروة الجريان، استحلاب البلغم بمحلول ملحي مفرط التوتر.
- المساعدة في الإجراءات التشخيصية: قياس التنفس البسيط، اختبار ما بعد الموسع القصبي، قياس حجوم الرئة ودراسات الانتشار، البزل الشرياني والعناية بالخطوط الشريانية.
- التحقق من الأوامر والتوثيق: التحقق من جميع أوامر الرعاية التنفسية مقابل وصف الطبيب قبل التنفيذ، وتسجيل جميع الإجراءات في ملف المريض وسجلات القسم بدقة وفي الوقت المناسب.
- تقييم المعدات والرعاية: تقييم التطبيق المناسب للمعدات/وسيلة الرعاية حسب حالة المريض، مراقبة فعالية وسائل الرعاية التنفسية، تقييم الآثار الجانبية وتسجيل البيانات بشكل صحيح.
- رعاية المريض وكرامته: تقديم رعاية مراعية ومحترمة للمرضى، والحفاظ على كرامتهم.
- مكافحة العدوى: تنفيذ جميع الإجراءات وفق ممارسات مكافحة العدوى المعتمدة.
- تثقيف المريض والأسرة: تثقيف المرضى وعائلاتهم للتعامل مع الأمراض التنفسية.
- إدارة المعدات والمستلزمات: تنظيف وتجهيز معدات التنفس عند الحاجة، التواصل مع قسم الهندسة الطبية للصيانة الوقائية، الحفاظ على مخزون كافٍ من المستلزمات لتفادي النقص المفاجئ، وحفظ سجل الإجراءات ذات الصلة.
- مصدر دعم للكوادر: العمل كمصدر استشاري للأطباء والممرضين والموظفين الجدد في التخصص فيما يتعلق بنظرية وتطبيقات إجراءات ومعدات الرعاية التنفسية.
- تخطيط العمل وتحديد الأولويات: وضع خطة عمل لإنجاز المهام الموكلة في الوقت المناسب وفق ممارسات القسم، وترتيب أولويات الطلبات الواردة بشكل مناسب.
- المحافظة على الموارد: ترشيد استخدام الموارد من خلال الاستخدام السليم والحكيم.
- المسؤولية عن المناوبات: المشاركة في مناوبات الاستعداد لتغطية حالات الطوارئ غير المتوقعة في المناوبة الليلية.
- التعلم المستمر: ممارسة التعلم الوظيفي الذي يعكس التكنولوجيا الحديثة والمعايير الحالية للممارسة في الإجراءات والمعدات الشائعة وغير الشائعة (بحضور فرص تعلم رسمية وغير رسمية).
- التعاون وتحسين الأداء: تقدير القيمة المشتركة بين الأقسام والتعاون والنهج المتكامل لحل المشكلات، والمشاركة في جهود تحسين الأداء.
- الالتزام المهني: الحفاظ على الاحترافية من خلال الالتزام بقواعد الحضور والانصراف ومدونة اللباس المؤسسية.

الشروط والمتطلبات
- خبرة: سنتان في وحدة الرعاية التنفسية.
- التعليم: دبلوم في العلاج التنفسي للفنيين، أو درجة بكالوريوس في العلاج التنفسي للتقنيين.
- اللغة: إجادة جيدة للغة الإنجليزية تحدثًا وكتابة.
- التراخيص/الشهادات: ترخيص مزاولة المهنة من الهيئة الصحية التنظيمية الإقليمية (مثل SCFHS أو DHA)، بالإضافة إلى BLS وACLS.
المهارات المطلوبة
- القدرة على التواصل بوضوح مع المرضى والموظفين.

Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Performs the following therapeutic procedures: Administers chest physical therapy including breathing exercises with or without the use of incentive spirometers, chest percussion massage, cough training and postural drainage. Administers therapeutic gases including oxygen using different oxygen administration equipment. Administers bland or medication aerosols and humidification using a variety of techniques and equipment. Performs nasotracheal/tracheobronchial aspiration. Performs Intermittent positive pressure breathing (IPPB). Monitoring patients on mechanical ventilation.
- Assists in performing the following therapeutic procedures: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Safe transportation of ventilator or oxygen dependent patients. Augments ventilation by applying all forms of positive or negative invasive and non-invasive mechanical support systems. Emergent tracheostomy/endotracheal tube replacement. Weaning from mechanical ventilation. CPAP trials for patients with Sleep Apnea Hypopnea Syndrome (SAHS). Assists pulmonologist with bronchoscopies for mechanically ventilated patients (therapeutic purposes). Chest (intercostal) tube procedures.
- Performs the following diagnostic procedures: Pulse oximetry both at rest and after effort. Bedside spirometry and Peak Flow Rate monitoring. Sputum induction by hypertonic saline nebulization.
- Assists in performing the following diagnostic procedures: Simple spirometry, post bronchodilator test, measurement of lung volumes and diffusion studies. Arterial punctures and care for arterial lines. Assists pulmonologist with bronchoscopies for mechanically ventilated patients (diagnostic purposes).
- Order Verification and Documentation: Verifies all ordered respiratory care against the Doctors order prior to administration. Records all respiratory care procedures performed in the patient's chart and in department logs in an accurate and timely manner.
- Equipment and Care Evaluation: Evaluates the proper application of the equipment/care modality per the patient's condition, monitors the effectiveness of respiratory care modalities, assesses for side effects of therapy and charts corresponding data properly.
- Patient Care and Dignity: Provides patients with considerate and respectful care. Preserves the dignity of the patient.
- Infection Control: Performs all procedures in strict accordance with approved infection control practices (refer to RCS unit IC policy, Infection Control Manual).
- Patient and Family Education: Educates patients and patients’ families to scope with respiratory illnesses.
- Equipment and Supply Management: Cleans and processes respiratory equipment as necessary (e.g disinfection, change of tubing, etc) contacts biomedical engineering department for preventive maintenance and when needed. Maintains a stock of necessary supplies to avoid unexpected shortage, Keeps a log of the related procedures.
- Staff Resource: Serves as a resource to physicians, nurses, newly employed RT and other staff regarding the theory and the physiologic application of respiratory care procedures and equipment.
- Work Planning and Prioritization: Establishes a work plan to ensure timely completion of assigned duties in accordance with department practices. Prioritizes incoming requests for services properly.
- Resource Conservation: Conserves resources by proper and judicious use.
- On-Call Responsibility: Shares on-call responsibilities to provide coverage in the unexpected event of a call on the night shift.
- Continuous Learning: Practices job specific learning that reflects modern technology and current standards of practice for both commonly and uncommonly used procedures and equipment (based on attending formal and informal learning opportunities).
- Collaboration and Performance Improvement: Values interdepartmental concernedness, collaboration, and integrated approaches to problem solving. Shares in performance improvement efforts.

Skills And Abilities
- Able to clearly communicate with patients and staff.
