Cost Control Engineer

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (On-site)

We are looking for a Cost Control Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will support project cost management by applying cost control practices, analyzing financial data, and ensuring efficient utilization of resources to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze project budgets and cost estimates to ensure alignment with the approved scope of work.
• Evaluate contractors' financial proposals and prepare cost comparisons and recommendations.
• Conduct cost benchmarking and variance analysis against previous or similar projects.
• Review periodic cost reports and verify financial data submitted by contractors and consultants.
• Monitor project budgets, commitments, and expenditures against approved allocations.
• Assess change orders and evaluate their financial impact, providing recommendations for approval or rejection.
• Analyze the relationship between project progress and actual expenditures.
• Verify material quantities against approved drawings and specifications.
• Maintain accurate cost records, invoices, and project financial documentation.
• Review bank guarantees and financial securities submitted by contractors to ensure contractual compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in cost control, project cost management, or project controls.
• Strong analytical and financial reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost management/reporting tools.
• Experience in construction, industrial, or manufacturing projects is preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
