This includes programming and coding of all types of control units, as well as heavy repairs such as engine overhauls and transmission work. Role Description The Automotive Electrician at VWGC - VW Group is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves diagnosing electrical faults, performing repairs on vehicle wiring and electronic systems, and supporting maintenance activities for VW Group brand vehicles. Day-to-day tasks include using diagnostic tools to identify issues, completing electrical maintenance and repair orders, and ensuring all work meets manufacturer standards and safety regulations. The Automotive Electrician collaborates with service advisors and mechanics to provide accurate repair estimates and thorough technical support. The role also includes keeping documentation up to date, following workshop procedures, and staying current with new electrical systems, programming, and coding practices used in VW Group vehicles.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in electrical maintenance and general maintenance & repair of automotive systems.
• Candidates should possess proven abilities in fault finding and electrical repairs on modern vehicles.
• Candidates should possess a solid understanding of automotive electricity and vehicle electronic control units.
• Relevant technical diploma or certification in automotive electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working with VW, Audi, Porsche, Bentley, or Skoda vehicles, including use of diagnostic and programming tools, is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, follow safety standards, and work effectively in a team-based workshop environment.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are beneficial.
• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new automotive technologies and electrical systems.
