Role Description

The Senior Accountant is a full-time role responsible for managing and overseeing day-to-day accounting operations to support Seera’s financial integrity and growth. Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings. The role includes managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and balance sheet accounts, and monitoring cash flow. The Senior Accountant will prepare financial statements and management reports, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, coordinating with external auditors, and recommending process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and transparency.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in core accounting functions, including general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash flow management to support strategic decision-making.
• Knowledge of applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP), tax regulations, and internal control frameworks, with a focus on compliance and risk management.
• Advanced skills in accounting and ERP software, as well as MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, financial modeling) for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle complex, deadline-driven tasks.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work productively in a remote environment and partner with non-finance stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent are preferred.
• Prior experience in a senior or lead accounting role, ideally within media, entertainment, or a fast-paced creative industry, is an advantage.
