تعلن UNISON Torbay Health عن وظيفة منسق محلي (عدد 2) لمنطقة الشرق (Eastern Region).

نبذة عن الوظيفة

الدور ديناميكي ويتطلب العمل الميداني في أماكن العمل، والتحدث مباشرة إلى العمال لتحفيزهم على الانضمام إلى النقابة واتخاذ إجراء جماعي. بدعم من المنسقين الإقليميين والمحليين، ستشارك في تطوير استراتيجيات تنظيمية تتماشى مع الاستراتيجية الوطنية للتنظيم للفوز. ستعمل على مشاريع تنظيم وتوظيف طويلة الأجل، وبناء هياكل عمل مستدامة، وتمكين الأعضاء من القيام بدور نشط في الحملات. ستحدد وتدعم النشطاء في أماكن العمل، وتشرك الأعضاء المحتملين، وتساعد في تنفيذ استراتيجية UNISON التنظيمية عبر المنطقة الشرقية.

الشروط والمتطلبات

  • مهارات قوية في التواصل الفردي والتوظيف والتنظيم.
  • خبرة في الحملات وتحفيز الآخرين من خلال المحادثات الفردية مع العمال وتشجيع مشاركتهم وبناء ثقتهم وتمكينهم.
  • القدرة على إلهام الثقة وبناء العلاقات عبر أماكن عمل متنوعة، وتحديد العمال المؤثرين ودعمهم لقيادة زملائهم ليصبحوا ممثلين نقابيين أقوياء.
  • فهم النقابية وقيم UNISON.
  • خبرة سابقة كموظف توظيف أو منظم أو ناشط (مرغوب فيه وليس إلزاميًا).
  • المرونة في ساعات العمل والقدرة على السفر في الوقت المناسب داخل المنطقة الشرقية بما في ذلك مكتب Bury St Edmunds، وإمكانية السفر إلى لندن للاجتماعات/التدريبات عند الحاجة.
  • يفضل (وليس إلزاميًا) أخذ بعض الإجازات السنوية خلال فترات العطلات المدرسية.

The role is very dynamic and would be suited to candidates who are keen to be on the ground, in workplaces, speaking directly to workers to motivate them to join their trade union and take collective action. With the support of regional and area organisers, you will take part in the process of developing organising strategies in line with the national organising to win strategy. You will work on long term organising and recruitment projects, building sustainable workplace structures and empowering members to take an active role in our campaigns. You will identify and support workplace activists, engage potential members, and help deliver UNISON’s organising strategy across the Eastern region.

The Person

We Are Seeking

  • Strong skills in one‑to‑one communication, recruitment and organising.
  • Experience in campaigning and motivating others by going into workplaces having one to one conversations with workers and recruiting them, encouraging their participation, building their confidence and empowering them.
  • The ability to inspire confidence and build relationships across diverse workplaces, identify influential workers and support them in leading their work colleagues to a win. You will build them up into becoming strong workplace representatives, who will be able to keep on organising their colleagues and ensure that UNISON keeps on growing as a union that fights for its members.
  • An understanding of trade unionism and UNISON’s values.
  • Previous experience as a recruiter, organiser, or campaigner (desirable but not essential).
  • The successful candidate will need to be flexible with their working hours and have the ability to travel in a timely manner within Eastern Region including to our Bury St Edmunds office. You may also have to travel to London for meetings/training as required.

Additional Information

The Strategic Organising Team is currently working on a range of regional targets including Ambulance and multi‑academy trusts. For this post, it is desirable (though not essential) that some annual leave is taken during school holiday periods.
