Role Description The AVL Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Ad Dammām, responsible for overseeing audio, video, and lighting operations across a variety of events. This role includes planning AVL setups, coordinating with production and technical teams, and ensuring all equipment is installed, tested, and operated safely and efficiently. The AVL Supervisor monitors technical performance during events, troubleshoots issues in real time, and ensures that event specifications and client expectations are met. Day-to-day tasks involve managing AVL technicians, collaborating with designers and project managers, maintaining equipment inventory, and preparing technical documentation and post-event reports. The role also requires close coordination with vendors and venue staff to uphold quality standards and support continuous improvement in AVL delivery.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of relevant experience in AVL, AV production, event technology, live entertainment, or a similar technical production role.
• Proven experience leading and supervising AVL/technical teams, including task assignment, staff training, on-site coordination, and workflow management under time constraints.
• Strong practical knowledge of audio, video, LED screens, lighting, control systems, digital consoles, and other event production equipment.
• Hands-on experience delivering live events, exhibitions, conferences, or large-scale productions; experience in large-scale or government events considered an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve AVL and technical issues quickly in live-event environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, stage plots, and AVL plans and translate them into practical on-site setups.
• Good understanding of technical safety standards, basic rigging principles, cable management, equipment handling, care, and preventive maintenance.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, venue management, and internal teams.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet event schedules and onsite production deadlines.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and familiarity with AVL control software, digital consoles, and related technical systems.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in audio engineering, media technology, AV/production technology, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
• Willingness to work onsite and flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required by event schedules.
• Saudi Arabia experience is preferred.
• Transferable Iqama / valid work authorization in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
