Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah for a Mechanical Designer and Draughtsman (MV/LV Switchgear AC/DC Panels). The role involves preparing detailed mechanical drawings and layouts for MV/LV switchgear and AC/DC panels using CAD tools, ensuring designs comply with company standards and relevant industry codes. The designer will collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine designs, resolve technical issues, and optimize manufacturability and safety. Daily tasks include reviewing specifications, updating documentation, supporting R&D activities, and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of design packages.
Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Technical Drawing and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for mechanical and electrical panel layouts.
• Solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering with practical exposure to Machine Design, particularly in industrial or electrical equipment.
• Experience or interest in Research and Development (R&D) related to switchgear, panels, or mechanical systems.
• Relevant technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of MV/LV switchgear standards, materials, and manufacturing processes is highly beneficial.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and industry standards with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with safety and quality practices in industrial manufacturing environments.
