BL Recruiting, on behalf of our client Concrete Future, an independent civil engineering consultancy specializing in concrete investigation, technical consulting, and construction material assessment, is seeking a highly qualified Saudi Senior Engineer (Concrete QA/QC) to join a landmark construction project in Jeddah.

Job description and key responsibilities.

• Reviewing mix designs, trial mixes and raw material compliance (cement, SCMs including silica fume, aggregates, admixtures) against project specifications and ASTM/BS EN standards
• Auditing batching plants and monitoring pumping and placement, including temperature control in hot weather
• Overseeing the fresh and hardened testing regime and coordinating third-party laboratories
• Raising and closing NCRs, including root-cause analysis
• Preparing ITPs, method statements and monthly and weekly quality reports
• Supervising site inspectors
• Acting as technical liaison with the contractor, client and supplier

Experience: minimum [8] years post-graduate, with at least [5] in concrete materials or QA/QC on major structures.

Discipline: Civil or Structural Engineering, with a concrete materials specialism.

Education: BSc in Civil Engineering. An MSc in concrete technology, materials or construction engineering is an advantage. A Western university degree is preferred.

Certifications:

• Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration is required. [Likely, SCE accreditation is mandatory to practise as an engineer in KSA]
• ACI certifications (Field Testing Technician Grade I, Strength Testing, or Concrete Quality Technical Manager) are an advantage.
• Institute of Concrete Technology membership or ISO 9001 auditor training is an advantage.

Technical competencies:

• High-strength and high-performance concrete
• Hot-weather concreting (ACI 305)
• Thermal control of mass pours (ACI 207)
• Pumped concrete at height
• Statistical analysis of test results
• Strong technical report writing in English

Industry or sector: high-rise and super-tall construction, major infrastructure, ready-mix supplier technical or QC departments, accredited materials laboratories, or specialist consultancies.

Project experience: high-rise or major structural projects involving C60+ concrete, high-rise pumping, and mass foundation pours. Super-tall experience is a strong advantage.

Work location: Jeddah, at the Jeddah Tower site. The role is site-based, [6] days per week.
