Job Summary

Express Food Company (ALBAIK) is looking for a motivated Internal Audit Specialist to join our Restaurant Audit team. You’ll carry out restaurant audit fieldwork across financial, operational and people areas in our restaurants in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The role protects revenue, stock and Company assets in one of the region’s fastest-growing QSR businesses.

Purpose

To carry out the approved restaurant audit plan and record results accurately, keeping internal controls strong across our restaurant network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete assigned restaurant audit visits in line with the monthly coverage plan.
• Perform cash and safe counts, plus sales and settlement reconciliations across all channels.
• Conduct inventory counts and FIFO, expiry, transfer and wastage testing.
• Test POS access, voids, discounts and overrides, as well as expenses and petty cash.
• Review payroll and people records, and Baladiya and regulatory compliance.
• Gather audit evidence and prepare clear, cross-referenced working papers.
• Draft audit observations and validate closure of agreed corrective actions.
• Escalate any suspected fraud, obstruction or refusal of access immediately.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred), or a related degree with at least 15 SOCPA-accepted accounting credit hours.
• No experience required for Bachelor’s holders. Accounting Diploma holders need 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of internal controls and audit evidence.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Good Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Valid driving licence and readiness to travel across KSA and Bahrain.
• Saudi nationality required. SOCPA Associate Membership is required, or must be obtained within the Company’s specified period.
