Role Description The Branch Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah, responsible for overseeing all branch operations and performance. This role includes managing daily freight forwarding activities across air, sea, and land, coordinating AOG and urgent shipments, and ensuring efficient customs clearance and warehousing processes. The Branch Manager will lead and develop the branch team, monitor key performance indicators, manage budgets, and optimize workflows to meet service-level commitments and customer expectations. The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities, resolving operational issues, implementing process improvements, and aligning branch activities with APL’s strategic and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in branch operations management, logistics coordination, and day-to-day workflow oversight within freight forwarding or supply chain environments.
• Experience in air, sea, and land freight services, including handling time-critical shipments, AOG logistics, and project cargo operations.
• Proficiency in customer relationship management, negotiation, and service delivery, with the ability to address client needs and resolve escalations effectively.
• Capabilities in team leadership, staff coaching, performance management, and fostering a collaborative, safety-conscious work environment.
• Knowledge of customs regulations, documentation, warehousing processes, and international trade practices relevant to Saudi Arabia and global logistics.
• Competence with logistics and ERP systems, data analysis, reporting, and use of technology to improve branch efficiency and accuracy.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under time pressure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• Relevant industry certifications in logistics or supply chain (e.g., FIATA, CILT, APICS) are an advantage.
• Professional proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are highly beneficial for local stakeholder communication.
