We are seeking a highly skilled Senior WSO2 Engineer to design, develop, integrate, deploy, and support enterprise integration and API management solutions using the WSO2 platform.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in API management, enterprise integration, identity and access management, system integration, security, performance optimization, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Enterprise Integration: Design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise integration solutions using WSO2 technologies.
• API Management: Develop, publish, secure, and manage APIs using WSO2 API Manager (APIM).
• Integration Development: Build enterprise integration flows using WSO2 Micro Integrator and Enterprise Integrator.
• API & Mediation Development: Design and implement REST and SOAP APIs, proxy services, sequences, mediation flows, data services, message transformation, routing, error handling, and retry mechanisms.
• System Integration: Integrate enterprise applications, databases, legacy systems, and external platforms using APIs, web services, messaging, and database integrations.
• API Security: Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, API Keys, SAML, and TLS/mTLS.
• API Policies & Access Control: Configure and manage API policies, throttling, rate limiting, authentication, authorization, and access controls.
• Identity Management: Support WSO2 Identity and Access Management integrations where required.
• Custom Development: Develop custom integration components and extensions using Java when required.
• Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize APIs, integration flows, message processing, and platform performance.
• Technical Design: Participate in solution design, integration architecture, technical reviews, code reviews, and effort estimation.
• Deployment & DevOps: Support deployments across Development, Testing, UAT, Staging, and Production environments, including CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Monitoring & Production Support: Monitor WSO2 environments, resolve production incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
• Standards & Governance: Ensure compliance with API governance, integration standards, security standards, coding standards, and SDLC processes.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the integration development team.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Architects, Application Developers, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams in an Agile environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 5-7+ years of software/integration development experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on WSO2 experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with WSO2 API Manager (APIM).
• Strong experience with WSO2 Micro Integrator / Enterprise Integrator.
• Strong knowledge of API Management, Enterprise Integration, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Strong experience developing and integrating REST and SOAP web services.
• Good knowledge of JSON, XML, XSLT, XPath, WSDL, OpenAPI/Swagger, and related integration standards.
• Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, SAML, TLS/mTLS, and API security.
• Experience integrating with databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Good knowledge of Java and the ability to develop custom mediation or integration components when required.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as JMS, Kafka, ActiveMQ, or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent DevOps tools.
• Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and containerized deployment environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong communication, teamwork, and technical documentation skills.

Nice to Have

• WSO2 Certified API Manager / Integration Developer certification or equivalent.
• Experience acting as a WSO2 Technical Lead or Integration Lead on enterprise projects.
• Experience with WSO2 Identity Server.
• Experience with WSO2 Choreo or cloud-native WSO2 solutions.
• Experience with API gateways, service mesh, or microservices architectures.
• Experience with Kafka, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous integrations.
• Experience deploying WSO2 solutions on Kubernetes, OpenShift, Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with API monitoring, observability, and logging tools such as ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk.
• Experience integrating WSO2 with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow, OpenText, Dynamics, or government systems.
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise or government integration platforms.
