Civil Engineer

Years of Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the construction and contracting sector.

Job Objective: To supervise the execution of civil and structural works on-site, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with approved engineering drawings, technical specifications, and the project schedule, while strictly adhering to quality assurance and occupational health and safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise the execution of civil and structural site works and monitor daily workflow.
• Review engineering drawings and ensure compliance with approved technical specifications.
• Monitor work implementation against approved drawings, technical specifications, and the project timeline.
• Coordinate with the consultant, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Monitor concrete and finishing works, as applicable to the nature of the project.
• Ensure the implementation of quality control procedures and monitor the quality of executed works.
• Follow up on inspection and handover requests for completed works in coordination with the consultant.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports on work progress and completion rates.
• Identify technical site issues and resolve them in coordination with project management.
• Monitor site requirements regarding materials, equipment, and manpower.
• Ensure strict adherence to occupational health and safety (HSE) procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in construction and contracting.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of project scheduling software, such as Primavera P6, is an added advantage.
• Ability to supervise work teams and coordinate across various disciplines.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
