Job Vacancy: Instrumentation Technician

Location: Saudi Arabia

Employment Type: Full-Time

R-Aletqan is looking for an experienced Instrumentation Technician with strong

hands-on expertise in the maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of

motorized actuators used in industrial applications.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in diagnosing actuator faults,

performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring reliable operation of

motor-operated valves (MOVs).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of motorized actuators and motor-operated valves (MOVs).
2. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control-related actuator faults.
3. Inspect, test, calibrate, and adjust actuator limit switches, torque switches, position feedback, and control circuits.
4. Diagnose actuator motor, gearbox, contactor, relay, and control board faults.
5. Perform actuator setup, configuration, limit and torque switch adjustments, and functional testing.
6. Troubleshoot local and remote operation, including open/close commands, status feedback, and position indication.
7. Assist in actuator commissioning and loop checks.
8. Interpret electrical wiring diagrams, control schematics, and actuator technical manuals.
9. Prepare maintenance reports and document troubleshooting activities, test results, and replaced components.
10. Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and applicable maintenance standards.

Job Requirements

1. Technical diploma or equivalent qualification in Instrumentation, Electrical or related field.
2. Proven hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting motorized actuators and MOVs.
3. Good knowledge of actuator electrical control circuits, limit and torque switches, position feedback, and motor protection.
4. Experience with actuator setup, testing, fault diagnosis, and functional verification.
5. Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation.
6. Industrial maintenance experience.
7. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently at industrial sites.
8. Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
9. From 1 to 3 years experience in instrumentation maintenance.
