About the Role

Watania Steel is looking for a Cost & Inventory Accountant to join our Finance team in Riyadh. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in monitoring production costs and maintaining strong inventory control across our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Monitor and analyze production costs, material consumption, and cost variances.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile physical stock counts with system balances.
• Monitor raw materials, consumables, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Participate in stock counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Prepare periodic reports on inventory movements, material consumption, and production costs.
• Ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions in the ERP system.
• Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, and Procurement teams to ensure effective cost and inventory control.
• Assist in budget preparation and periodic forecasting, monitor actual performance against budget, and analyze related variances.

• Requirements :
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of experience in cost accounting and inventory control, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of inventory accounting and cost calculation methods.
• Strong Excel skills and hands-on experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is a strong advantage.
• An analytical mindset with a sharp eye for detail.
• Comfort working on the shop floor and building strong relationships with operational teams.
• Professional fluency in Arabic and English.
