المهام والمسؤوليات

  • مراجعة وتقييم ملاءمة تصاميم الخلطات الخرسانية لضمان الامتثال لمتطلبات المشروع والمعايير المعمول بها.
  • العمل عن كثب مع فرق هندسية متعددة التخصصات لتحديد وتطوير وتنفيذ مبادرات تحسين المواد التي تعزز السلامة والجودة والأداء وكفاءة التكلفة.
  • إجراء مراجعات التصميم والتحقيقات في المواد وعمليات التفتيش والاختبار للتحقق من أن المواد وعمليات الإنشاء التي يختارها المقاول تتوافق مع مواصفات المشروع ومعاييره.
  • مراجعة والتوصية بالمواد المناسبة لتطبيقات هندسية وإنشائية محددة.
  • تقييم خصائص المواد وأدائها بما في ذلك المتانة والاستدامة والتوصيل والمقاومة للظروف البيئية.
  • تقييم ومقارنة خصائص المواد لتحديد جدوى ومقبولية بدائل المواد المقترحة.
  • مراجعة أثر المعايير الجديدة وتعديلات الكود وتغييرات المواصفات على مواد المشروع وممارسات الإنشاء.
  • تحديد المواد والأعمال غير المطابقة، والحفاظ على سجلات الجودة، وضمان تنفيذ الإجراءات التصحيحية وإغلاقها بفعالية.
  • تقديم الدعم الفني والإرشاد بشأن قضايا أداء المواد والتحديات المتعلقة بمواد الإنشاء.
  • مراجعة واعتماد خطط الجودة للمقاول وإجراءات المواد والوثائق ذات الصلة.
  • تقييم الآثار البيئية للمواد والمنتجات وعمليات الإنشاء بما في ذلك تقليل النفايات واعتبارات الاستدامة.
  • مراجعة واعتماد نتائج اختبار المواد للتحقق من الامتثال لمتطلبات الأداء بما في ذلك المقاومة للحرارة والتآكل والمواد الكيميائية والتعرض البيئي.
  • إعداد تقارير فنية وتقييمات تتعلق بموردي المواد والمنتجات وتقييمات الأداء.
  • تطوير وإدارة برامج تدقيق الموردين وإجراء عمليات تدقيق جودة الموردين عند الحاجة.
  • تقديم الدعم الميداني والنصائح الفنية بشأن فشل المواد وانحرافات المواصفات والتشققات وعيوب السطح ومشاكل الترسية وأداء أعمال الحفر وغيرها من مشاكل مواد الإنشاء.

الشروط والمتطلبات

  • درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة المدنية أو هندسة الإنشاءات أو تخصص ذي صلة.
  • خبرة لا تقل عن 8 سنوات في تصميم واختيار وصيانة واختبار واستكشاف مشاكل مواد الإنشاء.
  • خبرة في العمل على مشاريع إنشائية أو بنية تحتية أو مشاريع إنشاءات ثقيلة كبرى.
  • معرفة قوية بمواد الإنشاء ومنهجيات اختبار المواد وعمليات ضمان الجودة.
  • فهم جيد للمعايير والمواصفات الدولية المتعلقة بهندسة المواد.
  • خبرة في مراجعة تصاميم الخلطات الخرسانية ومواد أعمال الحفر ومنتجات الإنشاء ومتطلبات امتثال المواد.
  • مهارات تحليلية قوية وحل المشكلات والتقييم الفني.
  • مهارات ممتازة في الكتابة والتواصل اللفظي باللغة الإنجليزية.

المهارات المطلوبة

  • خبرة في مشاريع السكك الحديدية أو المترو أو النقل أو البنية التحتية للنقل.
  • معرفة بمبادئ هندسة أنظمة السكك الحديدية وممارسات الإنشاء.
  • خبرة سابقة في مشاريع دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي.
  • خبرة في إجراء تدقيق الموردين وتقييمات جودة المواد في بيئات المشاريع واسعة النطاق.

Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Materials Engineer to join our team!

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Review and assess the suitability of concrete mix designs to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to identify, develop, and implement materials improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct design reviews, material investigations, inspections, and testing activities to verify that contractor-selected materials and construction processes meet project specifications and standards.
  • Review and recommend appropriate materials for specific engineering and construction applications.
  • Assess material characteristics and performance properties, including durability, sustainability, conductivity, and resistance to environmental conditions.
  • Evaluate and compare material properties to determine the feasibility and acceptability of proposed material substitutions.
  • Review the impact of new standards, code revisions, and specification changes on project materials and construction practices.
  • Identify non-conforming materials and workmanship, maintain quality records, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed out effectively.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on material performance issues and construction-related material challenges.
  • Review and approve contractor quality plans, material procedures, and related documentation.
  • Assess the environmental implications of materials, products, and construction processes, including waste reduction and sustainability considerations.
  • Review and approve material testing results to verify compliance with performance requirements, including resistance to heat, corrosion, chemicals, and environmental exposure.
  • Prepare technical reports and evaluations related to material suppliers, products, and performance assessments.
  • Develop and manage supplier audit programs and conduct supplier quality audits as required.
  • Provide site support and technical advice regarding material failures, specification deviations, cracking, surface defects, settlement issues, earthworks performance, and other construction material concerns.


What Required Skills You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the design, selection, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of construction materials.
  • Experience working on major civil, infrastructure, or heavy construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, material testing methodologies, and quality assurance processes.
  • Good understanding of international standards and specifications related to material engineering.
  • Experience reviewing concrete mix designs, earthworks materials, construction products, and material compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical evaluation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.


What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

  • Experience on rail, metro, transit, or transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of rail systems engineering principles and construction practices.
  • Previous GCC project experience.
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and material quality assessments in large-scale project environments.
