Responsibilities:

• Lead, by example, a team of Station Agents to deliver a safe, reliable and customer focused station services.
• Provide effective communications and information with internal and external in an efficient and timely manner.
• Deliver public announcements and ensure all train and station information is correct, clear and up to date.
• Responsible for the efficient and safe evacuation of station premises in the event of fire or other emergency situations
• Be the Incident Officer for serious accidents and incidents in stations, when necessary, and undertake investigations.
• Monitor and maintain station operational status and ensure the safety and comfort of passenger movement within the station premise.
• Carry out controlled/uncontrolled/emergency evacuation of passengers.
• Undertake a comprehensive check of all station equipment and facilities to ensure that they are in good order. And all staff are smartly presented and fully briefed prior to the start of shift.
• In emergencies, perform local train control within interlocking area.
• Control and avoid overcrowding in stations and platforms and ensure that passengers are entering/exiting the station in an orderly fashion.
• Deliver essential messages to passengers via audio or visual means in a timely and proactive manner to avoid confusion, frustration, and anger.
• Render all possible assistance to customers, particularly those with special needs, to enhance customer service and safety.
• Perform shift and emergency duties when required.
• Perform and carry out other duties as instructed / directed by Station Section Head & Operations Director.
• Consider and evaluate safety issues for station operations and related activities.
• Advise and enforce safe methods of work for station operations and related activities.
• Follow safe working procedures personally and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and look out for the safety of others.

Qualifications:

• High diploma.

Experience:

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
