Job Purpose

The position is responsible for designing and delivering integrated industrial automation and enterprise software solutions that bridge operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT). The role ensures scalable, reliable, and secure digital architectures that meet customer requirements and enhance operational efficiency, asset performance, and business outcomes across utilities, energy, water, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

Key Accountability Areas

Solution Architecture & Design:

• Analyze customer business and technical requirements.
• Design end-to-end automation and digital architectures integrating OT and IT systems.
• Develop solution blueprints, system architectures, functional specifications, and technical documentation.
• Define cybersecurity, networking, cloud, and on-premises deployment architectures.

Application Engineering:

• Configure, customize, and deploy software applications.
• Develop use cases, workflows, dashboards, reports, and business processes.
• Perform software testing, validation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Enterprise Software Integration:

• Integrate SCADA, DMS/ADMS, EMS, APM, EAM, GIS, IoT, ERP, CMMS, cloud, and analytics platforms.

Customer Engagement:

• Conduct workshops, demonstrations, POCs, and technical presentations.
• Support proposal preparation and bid responses.

 Digital Transformation & Analytics:

• Design predictive maintenance, AI, machine learning, analytics, and digital twin solutions.

Project Delivery:

• Support FAT, SAT, deployment, training, and customer acceptance activities.

• Provide periodic work progress reports.
• Responsible for monitoring and controlling budgets and expenses to achieve the optimum cost efficiency.

Organizational Development:

• Develop the organizational structure according to the current requirements taking into consideration future and development plans.
• Ensure availability of job descriptions for all job roles and deployment.

Business Process Improvements:

• Develop, coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.
• Should be conversant and able to navigate through IT solutions especially those relevant to his job and business.
• Promote the automated systems and using them fully, to spread its culture.
