Role Purpose 

Occupational therapists treat disabled, ill, or injured patients with special equipment and the therapeutic use of daily activities. Help patients improve, regain, and develop the skills needed for day to day life and work. Provide long-term patient care and acute patient care. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

1. Offer Occupational Therapy services by visiting patient home. . 
2. Daily prepare medical bag to fulfil patient needs. 
3. Therapist must reach his visit according to his schedule time. 
4. Have responsibility to keep the equipment and tools sterilized before and after each session. 
5. Conducting physical and psychological assessments of patients and developing or following a treatment plan. 
6. Assessing home and work environments of patient’s and deciding what adjustments are needed. 
7. Advising on adaptive equipment to help patient’s  with daily activities. 
8. Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help patient’s  regain lost skills. 
9. Preparing patient’s  for a return to work. 
10. Evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on patient’s . 
11. Maintaining professional knowledge and the technical progress in order to provide patient’s  with the best treatment program available. 
12. Contribute to department’s continuing medical education program. 
13. Evaluating patient condition regarding physical and basic mental health. 
14. Paricipate in multidisciplinary team to devlop comprehensive and individualized care plan for each patients needs. 
15. Fully aware and actively implement the departmental policies and procedures, local and international standards or requirements related to the department. 
16. Participate in home care Safety Management & Risk Management Programs. Actively reports incidents in the system and whenever needed, participates in incident review. 
17. Participate in patient and family education to help patients and families to better understand and participate in their care and make well informed care decisions.. 
18. Performs any other duties within the range of his/her professional knowledge and skills as directed by the direct manager. 

Necessary Knowledge and Experience : 1-2 years of related experience.

Education and Certification Requirements : A bachelor's degree in occupational therapy.
