Role Purpose
Nutritionists work with their patients to help them reach a variety of goals, such as weight loss, healthier eating habits, and managing stress. This may involve equipping patients with tools for behavior modification and adjusting their dietary approach.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Offer clinical nutrition services by visiting patient home. .
- Daily prepare medical bag to fulfil patient needs.
- Therapist must reach his visit according to his schedule time.
- Have responsibility to keep the equipment and tools sterilized before and after each session.
- Offer medical nutrition therapy and nutrition services along with patient’s medical and clinical goals.
- Offer elaborates nutritional status assessment by analyzing and synthesizing information.
- Review, interpret and monitor nutritional needs of patients through standard care and practice.
- Determine and offer age specific nutrition counseling to satisfy clinical and cultural needs of patients and their family members.
- Specify diet supplements order and enteral nutrition as per Dallah Health policy.
- Records subjective and objective information, assessment, and treatment plan, in the clinical notes including a discharge summary.
- Contribute to department’s continuing medical education program.
- Fully aware and actively implement the departmental policies and procedures, local and international standards or requirements related to the department.
- Paricipate in multidisciplinary team to devlop comprehensive and individualized care plan for each patients needs.
- Participate in home care Safety Management & Risk Management Programs. Actively reports incidents in the system and whenever needed, participates in incident review.
- Participate in patient and family education to help patients and families to better understand and participate in their care and make well informed care decisions.
- Performs any other duties within the range of his/her professional knowledge and skills as directed by the direct manager.
Necessary Knowledge and Experience :
1-2 years of related experience.
Education and Certification Requirements :
- Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Medical license as Clinical nutrition
