This local IT support role assists China HQ in rolling out global IT standards. You will deliver day-to-day IT support, equipment maintenance, basic network support and asset register management for office and retail stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing corporate IT standards, policies and security controls; support project execution, data collection and corrective action implementation;
- Support IT infrastructure deployment for offices and retail sites, including site survey, hardware racking, cable management and basic system initialisation;
- Perform standardised PC deployment, software installation, routine maintenance and endpoint troubleshooting;
- Conduct regular inspection and maintenance for AV systems, access control, CCTV, IP phones and multi-function printers;
- Support administration of DNS and DHCP services; troubleshoot common network issues on user endpoints;
- Support full lifecycle IT asset management: maintain inventory records, goods receipt, stocktaking, maintenance follow-up and asset retirement documentation;
- Assist with daily monitoring, user permission administration support and routine checks on AD, email, NAS, virtualisation and PBX systems;
- Support HQ security and network teams with on-site activities; assist in communication with local regulators, external auditors and third-party vendors, and report on-site status and issues in a timely manner;
- Maintain operational logs, technical documents and SOPs to implement standardised local IT procedures
Requirements
Meticulous, proactive and execution-oriented; follow defined procedures for daily IT tasks and report identified issues promptly;
- Able to prioritise daily support tickets; escalate unresolved issues in a timely manner to achieve proper closure;
- Practical knowledge of PC hardware, Windows OS and macOS, common office software; experience with OS reinstallation and endpoint troubleshooting;
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and capable of resolving typical office network faults;
- Hands-on IT skills to complete equipment installation and maintenance following standard operating procedures;
- Basic awareness of Windows Server, Active Directory, email, NAS and virtualisation; relevant working experience is a plus;
- Basic English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills for daily communication and technical document review; able to collaborate in a multicultural environment
