Olive Tree Consulting is adding a Junior Business Analyst to support a high-priority engagement with our partner, a major Saudi client. This role is built around turning complex project discussions into clear, actionable records that keep the work moving. You will work as part of a fully remote team to help refine how management decisions are documented and tracked.
About the Role
This position exists to bridge the gap between high-level strategy and the daily tasks that make that strategy a reality. At Olive Tree, we see many teams struggle not because they lack talent, but because their internal systems for recording ownership and follow-ups are inconsistent. As a Junior Business Analyst, you will be the person who captures the logic behind decisions and ensures that the memory of the project is preserved in writing. This is not about building complex models or long slide decks: it is about providing the clarity that allows a large-scale project to stay on track without constant re-explanation. You will be a key part of our remote delivery team, ensuring that nothing important gets lost in the shuffle of a busy project lifecycle.
What You Will Do - Attend remote meetings and working sessions to capture the core decisions, open questions, and specific owners for each action item.
- Draft concise summary notes that translate technical or strategic jargon into plain English for the project team.
- Monitor project timelines to ensure that handoffs between different departments are clearly defined and understood by all parties.
- Maintain a central, written record of project progress so that any team member can quickly understand the current status without needing a meeting.
- Help identify where management habits, like recurring meeting formats or reporting styles, might be slowing down the work.
- Update internal documentation to reflect changes in project scope or priority as they are agreed upon by leadership.
- Assist the senior advisory team by gathering basic data points and organizing them into simple, readable reports.
What We Are Looking For - A strong ability to write clearly and concisely. You should be able to summarize a one-hour conversation into three paragraphs that anyone could understand.
- High attention to detail. You notice when a deadline was mentioned but not recorded, or when a task lacks a clear owner.
- Comfort with remote communication tools and the discipline to manage your own schedule in a fully remote environment.
- A calm approach to changing priorities. Projects move fast, and you need to be able to adjust your records without getting overwhelmed.
- Curiosity about how businesses actually function. You should enjoy looking at the internal mechanics of a company: the meetings, the emails, and the reports.
- The ability to listen carefully to what is being said and, more importantly, what is being implied or left unaddressed in a discussion.
Helpful Background - A degree or recent coursework in business, communications, humanities, or a related field that emphasizes critical thinking and writing.
- Experience with basic spreadsheet software for tracking lists and simple data points.
- Previous internships or part-time roles where you had to manage documentation or coordinate with different people to get a task finished.
- Familiarity with digital collaboration tools like shared documents and task management boards.
- Any experience writing for a professional audience, whether through a university club, a volunteer position, or a personal project.

About Olive Tree
Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems; they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company's growth.
We favor practical changes over large-scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own.
The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow-up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
