We are looking for a Data Operations Assistant to join our team at Olive Tree Consulting. This role focuses on supporting a specific engagement for a Riyadh-based client by managing the information and records that drive our advisory work. As a remote member of our team, you will help ensure that the data we rely on is organized and accessible so that project progress stays clear and visible. This is a full-time, permanent position designed for someone starting their career who enjoys organizing information and ensuring accuracy.
About the Role
Olive Tree Consulting works in the space between strategy and daily execution. For our Riyadh-based client, this means managing a significant volume of project data, meeting outcomes, and decision logs. The Data Operations Assistant ensures our internal records are current and clean. You will support the consulting team by maintaining the systems that track how decisions are made and how tasks are assigned. This role exists to prevent important details from being lost and to ensure that the memory of the project is preserved in writing rather than relying on individual recall. Because we are a fully remote firm, you will coordinate with the team through digital tools to keep our shared workspace tidy and reliable.
What You Will Do - Maintain and update central trackers that record project decisions and follow-up actions for the client.
- Audit data entries to ensure that naming conventions are followed and that information is categorized correctly.
- Transcribe and summarize key points from meeting notes into structured digital records.
- Identify gaps in project documentation and follow up with team members to gather missing details.
- Prepare simple status reports and data summaries to help consultants prepare for client meetings.
- Organize digital folders and file structures to make sure all project assets are easy to locate.
- Assist in the basic analysis of project timelines to help the team identify where work might be stalling.
- Perform routine checks on data integrity within our shared spreadsheets and tools.
What We Are Looking For - A high level of precision and a genuine interest in keeping information organized.
- Clear writing skills and the ability to summarize complex discussions into plain, simple points.
- Comfort with repetitive tasks that require sustained focus and attention to detail.
- A reliable approach to remote work, including the ability to manage your own schedule and meet deadlines.
- A preference for following established processes while being observant enough to suggest small improvements.
- The ability to stay calm when handling large amounts of information.
- Openness to feedback and a willingness to learn how a focused advisory practice operates.
Helpful Background - Basic familiarity with spreadsheet software like Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, including simple formulas.
- Some experience with data entry or administrative tasks, perhaps from university projects or previous internships.
- Experience using remote communication tools like Slack, Zoom, or project management software.
- A background in a field that requires careful documentation, such as history, business administration, or library science.
- Interest in how organizations function and how management teams make decisions.
What We Offer
This is a permanent, full-time position that is fully remote. You will have the opportunity to work in a quiet, professional environment that values concentration and clear communication. The role is paid, and the compensation is competitive for an entry-level position in the consulting support sector. We provide a workspace where your contribution to the project memory is valued, and you will see how practical changes can improve the way a leadership team functions. As we are a remote firm, we prioritize results and clarity over hours spent in a specific location.
About Olive Tree Consulting
Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems: they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company growth. We favor practical changes over large-scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own. The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow-up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
