Job Summary
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for managing all government-related processes and ensuring compliance with Saudi labor, immigration, and regulatory requirements. The role will also support the Human Resources department in day-to-day HR administration, employee documentation, onboarding, and employee relations activities to ensure smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Government Relations & PRO Duties
- Handle all government transactions through relevant portals and authorities, including:
- Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD)
- Muqeem
- Qiwa
- Absher
- Chamber of Commerce
- Ministry of Commerce
- ZATCA and other applicable authorities
- Process employee visas, work permits, Iqama issuance and renewals, transfers, exit/re-entry visas, and final exit procedures.
- Ensure timely renewal of company licenses, registrations, permits, and official documents.
- Coordinate with government authorities and external agencies regarding regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance with Saudi labor laws and immigration regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all government transactions and employee documentation.
- Support Saudization (Nitaqat) compliance and workforce-related reporting requirements.
- Represent the company before government entities when required.
Human Resources Responsibilities
- Support recruitment activities, including interview scheduling, candidate coordination, and onboarding documentation.
- Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and employee-related correspondence.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Coordinate medical insurance enrollment, additions, deletions, and renewals.
- Support payroll administration by ensuring employee records and documentation are up to date.
- Monitor employee attendance, leave records, and related HR reports.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in implementing HR policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives.
- Support employee engagement and welfare activities.
- Prepare periodic HR and government relations reports for management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a PRO or Government Relations Officer in Saudi Arabia.
- Experience within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, or distribution industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi labor law, immigration regulations, and government portals.
- Experience handling visa processing, Iqama management, and employee relations activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
