JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE
Perform supplier prequalification, evaluation, and data analysis activities for new and existing vendors to maintain an accurate and compliant Approved Supplier List (ASL) and to support effective supplier governance,
risk mitigation, and performance improvement across IMI’s supply base. The role coordinates with HSEQ, Engineering, Operations, and PSCM teams to collect technical and commercial inputs, ensuring supplier
assessments are consistent, evidence‑based, and aligned with IMI’s standards, under the guidance of the Division Head, Supplier Relations.
Key Accountabilities
- Apply supplier prequalification criteria to assess vendor capability, compliance, and capacity to ensure accurate qualification decisions.
- Collect and verify supplier documentation, certificates, and compliance records to maintain complete, up‑to‑date supplier profiles.
- Analyze supplier performance data including quality, delivery, service, and risk indicators to provide insights that support sourcing and category decisions.
- Support the execution of supplier audits, capability assessments, and site evaluations to identify supplier strengths, gaps, and improvement needs.
- Update and maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL) in ERP and related systems to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance with IMI policies.
- Coordinate with HSEQ, Engineering, Operations, and PSCM teams to gather technical and commercial inputs required for supplier evaluation.
- Prepare regular supplier performance and risk reports to support informed decision‑making by category managers and division leadership.
- Classify goods and services according to sourcing categories to enable accurate segmentation and strategic sourcing activities.
- Segment suppliers based on criticality, spend, and business impact to support differentiated engagement and risk management strategies.
- Identify and recommend improvements to supplier evaluation and data management processes to enhance consistency, transparency, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum 3 - 6 years of experience in supply chain.
Languages
- Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
