IT Assets Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Assets Manager to lead enterprise IT Asset Management (ITAM), CMDB, infrastructure discovery, and service dependency mapping across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role will serve as the technical and operational owner for Device42, ensuring accurate asset data, effective discovery, reliable CMDB governance, application dependency mapping, integrations, and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead IT Asset Management strategy, governance, lifecycle controls, policies, and data-quality standards.
• Own and administer the Device42 platform, including discovery, Remote Collectors, CMDB, application/service mapping, reporting, APIs, upgrades, security, and troubleshooting.
• Design and manage discovery across servers, VMware, networks, storage, databases, middleware, containers, and cloud platforms.
• Establish CMDB data-quality, reconciliation, normalization, deduplication, ownership, and configuration-management controls.
• Lead application and service dependency mapping to support impact analysis, change management, capacity planning, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery.
• Manage integrations between Device42 and platforms such as ServiceNow/BMC Remedy, monitoring, vulnerability management, cloud, and automation tools.
• Develop dashboards and reports covering asset lifecycle, discovery coverage, CMDB health, compliance, utilization, warranties, and technology risk.
• Ensure asset governance, audit readiness, lifecycle management, secure disposal, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead the IT Assets team and collaborate with infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, procurement, finance, ITSM, risk, audit, and business stakeholders.
• Manage technology vendors, support partners, SLAs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-12 years of relevant IT infrastructure, ITAM, CMDB, discovery, or ITSM experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Device42 administration, discovery, CMDB, dependency mapping, reporting, APIs, and integrations.
• Strong understanding of ITAM, ITIL, configuration management, CMDB governance, and infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with ServiceNow and/or BMC Remedy integrations is preferred.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, SQL, PowerShell/Python, automation, and reporting.
• Experience in government, financial services, insurance, or other regulated environments is an advantage.

Preferred Certifications

• Device42 training/certification
• ITIL 4 Foundation or higher
• IAITAM/CITAM/CSAM/CHAMP or equivalent ITAM certification
• ServiceNow Discovery/Service Mapping, BMC, cloud, VMware, ISO 27001/20000, COBIT, or cybersecurity certifications
